Samsung had already put an end to the issue that the company is buying the Hewlett-Packard's personal computer business. Speculation would always come out especially if it involves these two big companies. Samsung CEO and Vice Chairman Geosung Choi already gave his statement about the HP PC business.

The Very Useful Interactive Map

I think that this idea of the government to put up this NATIONAL BROADBAND MAP is going to be very helpful not only to the government but to the people as well. This is to be used to ensure that locations which need internet connection the most will be able to avail of the services as well. This is also one way to help the government trace whatsoever issues regarding privacy and security of the people. I think that this is a very useful project by the Obama administration.

The government is always the last across the finish line when it comes to technology

The government may have had experience with hacking into protected data but really, thanks to outdated hiring policies, the government can't compete with off the radar hackers who make much more selling their services on the black market. Funny thing about hacking is when you get caught, you don't go to jail but get hired by the government to protect the state. This is why the government's workers aren't as good as the black market guys because the guys the government have are the lower skilled ones. Why? Because they were caught.

Could iPad be Slain?

Apple did dictate what gadget the people will or will need from mp3 players, smartphones, computers, and tablet computers. Other gadget manufacturers have learned from the company's in erasable dominance with ipod so they are now to counter that same success for Apples's tablet - iPad. There are already good pieces that could rival it. Some say Samsung Galaxy Tab, an Android 2.2 Froyo-based is closest rival.

Always be sure to change your battery in your laptop every two years

Every two years is the advice I was given for the same question I asked a friend who worked in a large electronics store. Most lithium batteries, even if properly charged throughout the service life, will eventually deplete its charging capacity over time. However, does anyone know the service life and type of batteries found in Apple products? It seems to me that the batteries in MacBooks last a lot longer than PC laptop batteries.

The Soul of A Laptop

Anyone with a laptop knows that the battery is the soul of a laptop. After all, a small desktop is often cheaper and just as portable as a large laptop. But the beauty of a laptop is the ability to use it anywhere with any power source.

Seems that the computer companies either didn't get the memo about how vital the battery is to the laptops usefulness, or are banking on the consumer continuing to purchase new batteries every few years or so.

Whatever the reason for their short life span, batteries are precious and keeping them powerful as long as possible is a useful thing to know.

Screensaver password--For or Against?

Whether or not to place a password on your home computer shouldn't even be a matter of discussion, but what about a password screensaver? Is it really necessary to place something that just eats up a few more seconds of your precious time when you return to your screen after a quick break? If you're in the habit of turning off your computer when leaving home, then why would you need a screensaver password.

One thing to consider is if you have others living in the same house, others whom you would not feel comfortable exposing the inside of your computer to, then it might be better to accept that two second delay, and give in to the screensaver password.
