North Carolina, any: Computer Fixx Office Name of your website?

    Computer Fixx

    Your name?

    Glenn Caton

    Your Location (city, etc)

    Wilmington

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Computer Fixx is a Wilmington, NC based computer repair and consulting business owned by Glenn Caton who is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist. He is also Network+ and A+ Certified.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I started a computer repair business, and I quickly realized that businesses don't rely on the telephone book the way they did years ago. The Internet is a vital part of promoting a business. I think it is especially important for a new business.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

My first website is computerfixx.biz, and I launched it a year or so ago to help promote my computer consulting business.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I wanted the name of my website to tell people what I do. I didn't want them to have to guess what business I am in.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

I designed the website myself. It is an original design. I added plenty of good information on malware, custom-built computers, and how to tell if your computer has malware. I also added a complete price list of my services, so people could tell how much I charge without having to call.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I plan to keep the website I've got and to add a second site soon that pertains to remote computer repair.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I have invested a lot of time in my website as I designed it myself and have done all of the SEO myself. A top ten placement in Google ensures you a fair share of the business in your community. Without Google, you will have a hard time keeping the phone ringing as people don't rely on old methods of finding services any more.

    What is your website address?
