Qualys' compilation of the bugs and vulnerabilities provided by the National Vulnerability Data ranks Mozilla Firefox web browser as the top buggiest software of 2009. Adding 12 more to their 90 bugs last year.
But keep in mind that Firefox is an open source application so all bugs and vulnerabilities are disclosed publicly unlike private institution that could choose what things to publish. The bugs on the software was generally found on plug-in feature.
