MV Computer Help Interview

By Interviewer at 11/30/07 19:20

Name of your website?

MV Computer Help

Your name?

Michael Van Hoesen

Your Location (city, etc)

Tucson

Please give us a short summary of your website?

It explains how I started my own computer businuess, my experience, certifications, etc.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Starting by own businuess.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

When I started my own businuess, a little over a year ago, MV Computer help.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I kep it simple and just used M for Michael and V for my last name.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

I feel that I work very hard to build higher standards in customer relations, and my website is a link to those connections. I am also certified as a Microsoft ProAdvisor, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP),CompTIA A+ Certified hardware technician ,CompTIA Network+ Certified. I can do remote access to help clients, will go to their home or businuess, am flexible with hours, I do not have complicated price schedules-or nickel and dime clients. I have also worked for Intuit and Canon.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To progress with the website and MV Computer help, to continue to make a name for myself and provide reliable solutions.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

At first it did not really balance, but since I reached my year anniversary a little over a month ago, I have met and exceeded alot of my goals, and things have balanced out alot for me expense wise.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Add more bling to the site, and do ALOT of advertising, get on ALL the search engines, etc.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Sure

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Having to replace a computer, and learning not to sell a computer to a client that I normally work with.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Overcoming fears from going to "regular" job, and realizing that I could do this and that there is a large client base out there despite alot of competition.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

advertising everywhere I can, and word of mouth.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

No

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Over a year, as long as I can! I am lucky I get to do what I enjoy for a living!

What is your website address?
